Can u be more specific? Do you mean the weird shading on the tire?

I'm thinking of looking at a billboard model and see what makes it not look so metallic looking when the billboard's flat like the flag. Maybe copy the billboard's material. I don't know. I'm figuring/troubleshooting it out.

If nothing works I might just end up releasing the update two versions - one with metallic looking flag and the other without flag.

Modloader doesn't work like this, it was done to identify lines in readme files, ie it's intelligent and dynamic.
Did you try changing the color using some mod? The problem must be the model. Quick Tune is very fast to test and Tuning Mod can select all 4 colors. 

Got secondary color on the flag working. Reflections are in.
Not sure what to do with the metallic looking flag piece - tried fixing it with no spec, reflect, and shininess. Also made it 2 sided polygons. The problem still exists.
