Blender Car DFF corrupted after Import/Export

This is my first experience with modelling, so maybe i'm missing an obvious solution for this...
So I installed the DragonFF addon to Blender and imported this car model:

After I imported the DFF, all I did then was to export it, I have not changed anything, didn't even uncheck the boxes.
The original file has a size of 3,41 MB while the exported model was reduced to 2,75 MB !!!
So when I put that shit into modloader just to see whats missing, the game crashed when attempting to spawn it, I have VehFuncs installed so here's the log:

Of course I looked into the crash list at mixmods... and it seems Blender somehow screws up the wheels during export.
It tried again with the Vanilla Admiral, this time the size actually increased from roughly 219KB to 220KB and yet the crash log was still the same, just different car ID. When I imported and exported the screwed up Admiral again, it increased again even though I didn't notice any visual change in Blender.

btw something similar happened with ZModeler 2.1.1...

Probably the collision is not being exported, at least that's what happens in 3dsmax, you will have to use rwanalize, there is another program that also does this but I don't remember the name. Look for a tutorial that explains the correct way to import the collision clump into the dff.
Although I'm not sure about this error in blender, I recommend checking it out.

Thank you very much for your answer! I searched the DragonFF thread and I found a solution that helped me. So when I imported the DFF I unchecked "Use Edge Split" and checked "Read Material Split". Then you gotta look at the collision mesh named somethin like "copcarvg.dff.elegant_col.ColMesh" and set the Object Type to "Collision Object" in the export settings. It looks like in some cars its already set like that by default, so I guess the import changes are what worked for me.

The result is a file that still is a little smaller than the OG, but SEEMINGLY there is no change to the car in game. I wonder what really caused the problem. Now I'm gonna try adding some dummies...
